Traditional Method

In some sectors including residential, single storey office and retail using the traditional technique is still the most cost effective way to clean your windows. This system means window frames and sills can also be cleaned, as well as allowing the windows to be cleaned on the inside, ensuring customers get a complete window cleaning service and spotless results.

The detergent applicator and squeegee are both hand-held simple and effective tools the applicator consists of a round bar covered in a sleeve which is dipped in detergent and used to clean the dirt from the window, the squeegee consists of an channel with band of rubber which is swept across the glass by the window cleaner, removing the surface film of dirt and water as it goes. The glass is then detailed using a micro fibre cloth to achieve the perfect streak free shine. Each section of glass receives individual attention, guaranteeing a thorough and complete clean every time.

Unless the windows are awkward to reach or there are health and safety issues, the traditional window cleaning method can safely be used on windows up to around nine metres (or 29ft) off the ground using ladders. For the inside windows, a micro fibre cloth is used to avoid the possibility of drops of water splashing onto carpets and other interior fabrics.

The end result is gleaming glass and smart, clean windows that give the right impression. We are window cleaners not just glass cleaners, which means we will always clean the glass, frames and sills every time.  We do however insist that windows are in a good state of repair.

Our window cleaning teams pride themselves on their high levels of skill and training and ensure safety is always paramount. At every site we make sure the correct precautions are taken to minimize any associated risk, giving our customers peace of mind and a quality service.

Water-fed pole method

The traditional method of cleaning windows professionally is via a ladder. In 2005 new working at heights regulations were introduced, which stated that work at height was not to be carried out if it could reasonably be achieved without working at height. This provoked controversy that ladders were banned, but the HSE cleared the matter up by giving out the message that ladders could be used if the work was low risk and short duration, but in other situations alternatives were to be sought.

Cleaning windows via Water-fed pole technology is efficient, cost effective and safe. Pure water is sprayed through a soft bristle brush at the top of the pole to remove the dirt. The pure water attracts dirt and impurities before being rinsed away. The water is then left to evaporate leaving a spotless finish. Windows can be cleaned up to heights of 65ft (20m) by an technician working at ground level. The major benefit of this is that it ensures that your company is complying with recent changes to Health & Safety legislation, in particular the Work at Height Directive. In addition Water-fed poles minimize damage to buildings, reduce disturbance to occupants of the building and allow access to difficult windows.

Our aim is to give you a high level of service, safely and in compliance with the law. We are reliable, punctual and charge a fair price that is value for money.
